ABSTRACT

This study was to research the incidence of infants with rotavirus enteritis combined with lactose intolerance and the clinical effect of low lactose milk powder for infantile rotavirus enteritis with lactose intolerance. The control group were 126 cases of infants with diarrhea randomly collected from our hospital at the same period, which their rotavirus detection was negative. The observation group was 185 cases of infants with rotavirus, which was tested to be positive. Through the urine galactose determination, 62 cases of the control group were positive and 124 cases of the observation group were positive. Then 124 cases of infants with rotavirus combined with lactose intolerance were randomly divided into two groups. 60 cases in the control group were given rehydration, correction of acidosis, oral smecta, Intestinal probiotics and other conventional treatment, then continued to the original feeding method. While, 64 cases in the treatment group, on the basis of routine treatment, applied the low lactose milk feeding. To observe the total effective rate for the two groups. The incidence of lactose intolerance in children with rotavirus enteritis [67.03%] was significantly higher than that of children with diarrhea [49.2%], which was tested to be negative. And the difference was statistically significant [p<0.5]. In the aspect of reducing the frequency of diarrhea, and diarrhea stool forming time, the treatment group has the obvious superiority. The total effective rate was 95.4% for treatment group, which was higher than that in the control group [76.7%], the difference was statistically significant [P<0.05]

Conclusion: Infants with rotavirus enteritis was easier to merge with lactose intolerance. The low lactose milk powder could improve the therapeutic effectively and could reduce the duration of disease, and restored to normal diet for 2 weeks feeding time

ABSTRACT

Objective To provide diagnostic basis for blood stasis syndrome (BSS) ,from the point of laboratory medical science . And to further analysis the correlation between qi deficiency and blood stasis ,qi stagnation and blood stasis ,cold coagulation and blood stasis syndrome with clinical testing indicators .Methods Chinese medicine qi deficiency and blood stasis ,qi stagnation and blood stasis ,cold coagulation and blood stasis syndrome and healthy (healthy group) 50 cases each were analyzed .Blood samples were collected ,Hemorheological indexes ,coagulation indexes ,blood‐lipoid indexes and endothelin (ET ) ,nitric oxide (NO ) ,atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) ,serum free calcium (F‐Ca2+ ) ,C‐reactive protein (CRP) were tested .Results Compared with the healthy ,the results of hemorheological indexes ,blood‐lipoid indexes ,ET ,NO ,ANP ,F‐Ca2+ ,CRP of three types of blood stasis syn‐drome group were different significantly(P<0 .05) .qi deficiency and blood stasis group and qi stagnation and blood stasis group were compared ,the difference of hemorheological indexes (except plasma viscosity ) ,blood‐lipoid indexes ,and ET ,NO ,ANP ,CRP was statistically significant(P<0 .05) .Cold coagulation and blood stasis syndrome group and qi deficiency and blood stasis group were compared ,the difference of hemorheological indexes ,coagulation indexes ,blood‐lipoid indexes ,and ET ,NO ,ANP ,CRP was statistically significant (P<0 .05) .Cold coagulation and blood stasis syndrome group and qi stagnation and blood stasis group were compared ,the difference of hemorheological indexes ,coagulation indexes ,blood‐lipoid indexes ,and ET ,NO ,ANP ,CRP was statisti‐cally significant (P<0 .05) .Conclusion Study shows that clinical laboratory test index provide the experimental basis for the diag‐nosis of qi deficiency and blood stasis ,qi stagnation and blood stasis ,cold coagulation and blood stasis syndrome .Improve the objec‐tivity of classification of blood stasis syndrome .To provide a new way of for the development of modern science in promoting tradi‐tional Chinese medicine diagnostics .

ABSTRACT

A 24-year-old man was diagnosed with klinefelter's syndrome [KS] and his wife was found to have an inversion on chromosome 9-46, XX, inv [9] [p11q21]- because of infertility. Intracytoplasmic sperm injection [ICSI] was performed for fertilization after fluorescence in-situ hybridization [FISH] was used to analyze the aneuploidy rate of the X and Y chromosomes of the ejaculated sperms of the patient, and 99 sperms were haploid among 100 sperms that were to be analyzed. A twin pregnancy was achieved. The chromosomes of the two fetuses were identified as 46, XY and 46, XY, inv [9][p11q21] after a prenatal diagnosis at 18 weeks gestation. Two healthy twins were born through caesarean section at 32 weeks gestation because of premature rupture of membranes [PROM]

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the feasibility of establishing a mouse model of ovarian oxidative stress by intraperitoneal injections of arsenic sodium.

METHODSTwenty adult female Kunming mice were randomized equally into the normal control group and ovarian oxidative stress model group for intraperitoneal injections of 0.5 ml distilled water and 8 mg/kg arsenic sodium solution every other day, respectively. After 8 injections, the mice were sacrificed for histological observation of the ovarian sections and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) of serum estradiol (E(2)) and pregnenedione (P) levels ande contents of reactive oxygen species (ROS) , malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) in the ovary homogenate.

RESULTSNumerous atretic follicles were found in the ovaries of mice in the model group with obviously reduced growing follicles. Compared with those in the normal control group, the contents of ROS and MDA increased and SOD and GSH-Px levels in the ovarian homogenate decreased significantly in the model group (P<0.05).

CONCLUSIONA mouse model of ovarian oxidative stress can be established by intraperitoneal injections of arsenic sodium.
